Background

The Hanns Seidel Foundation, together with the Global Youth Biodiversity Network (GYBN) and supported by the ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity, will organise a Deep-dive training workshop on: "Effectively Engaging Decision-Makers" on 7-11 October in Penang, Malaysia.

This workshop will focus on youth in ASEAN countries, with the participation of Youth Biodiversity Leaders (YBL) and members of GYBN in ASEAN.  This event aims to provide in-depth capacity building for selected youth in the ASEAN region to enhance their ability to engage with decision-makers, particularly on issues surrounding biodiversity and the environment, and meaningful youth participation in an ASEAN context.

To support the implementation of the programme, HSF is looking for an expert for the position of Expert for Youth Engagement for the Deep-dive training workshop.

The Objective of Work:

1. Support the project committee in the preparation of Project Materials and Programme Development;
2. Design and conduct a Workshop;
3. Facilitation of online and onsite sessions;
4. Post Project Evaluation and Post-Workshop Phase;
5. Reporting and Guidelines on Youth Engagement with Decision Makers.

3. Communicationn & logistics,
4. Project Outcomes, evaluation and Post-workshop phase,
5. Reporting and recommendations on Effective Engagement with Decision Makers.
